En mis pinturas demolí mi sentido del mundo y de la vida en formas más complejas que hacen intrigantes rompecabezas a la audiencia.
Cada uno tiene su diferente visión de lo que ve. Y lo mismo ocurre con la mente y el mundo, humano o extraterrestre, diferentes perspectivas, historias e imágenes de fondo. Ninguna imagen o historia es la misma. Con esta exposición quiero mostrar mis pinturas hechas en los Países Bajos y traídas a la ciudad de México y contar la historia que sucedió debido a la conexión mágica con el colectivo NoEsUnaGaleria. Sobre Harmke Chang
Harmke, nacida en Holanda, como resultado de un padre fotógrafo holandés y una madre chino-judía. Se graduó en la Universidad de Artes de Utrecht en 2006 y completó la Maestría en Artes en Ámsterdam en 2018 exponiendo muy temprano en su carrera, su animación/instalación hecha por ella misma llamada BEELDBOX en el Museo Central de Utrecht.
Interesada y centrada en inventar imágenes extrañas fuera de este mundo pero ahora a mayor escala. HD.Chang desarrolló cinco mega esculturas abstractas diferentes para el espacio público. En 2021, dos nuevos proyectos a gran escala serán colocados en los Países Bajos.
Desde 2018, Harmke se unió a un colectivo de artistas internacionales amigos llamado "NoEsUnaGallería" con sede en la ciudad de México y fundado por Ricardo Santos y Pierre Furdaryli. Esto llevó a años de viajar, ampliar horizontes, compartir experiencias, inspiraciones y crear y exponer junto con NoEsUnaGaleria en la Ciudad de México, Tequisquiapan, Leiden, Utrecht, Amsterdam y en el Museo Cobra en Amstelveen (2019 - 2020).
El colectivo NoEsUnaGalleria trata de devolver la libertad a los artistas. Crear arte sin limitaciones o restricciones y hacer arte sin pensar demasiado en las expectativas de los demás. Para que los artistas se centren en la colaboración y el trabajo en equipo para poder crear lo que desean. Crear conceptos no porque sean adecuados para otros, sino para dar espacio a la búsqueda de un estilo propio y crear la mejor imagen que un artista pueda producir en relación con otros artistas globales y el mundo que compartimos juntos.

In my paintings I demolished my sense of the world and life into more complex shapes that makes intriguing puzzles to the audience.
Everyone has their different view of what their seeing. And so is it with the mind and the world. Human or alien, different perspectives, background story’s and images. No image or story is the same. With this expo I want to show my paintings made in the Netherlands and brought to Mexico-City and tell the story’s that happened because the magical connection with the collective NoEsUnaGaleria. About Harmke Chang
Harmke, born in the Netherlands, as a result of a Dutch photographer Father and a Chinese — Jewish mother. She graduated from the University of Arts in Utrecht at 2006 and completed the Master of Arts in Amsterdam at 2018. Harmke exposed very early in her career, her self-made animation/installation called BEELDBOX in the Central Museum in Utrecht.
Interested and focusing on inventing strange out of this world images but now on larger scale. HD.Chang developed five different mega, abstract sculptures for the public space. In 2021 two new large-scale projects will be placed in the Netherlands.
Since 2018 Harmke joined a collective of international artists friends called ‘NoEsUnaGallery’ based in Mexico-City and founded by Ricardo Santos and Pierre Furdaryli. This led to years of traveling, expanding horizons, sharing experiences, inspirations and creating and exposing together with NoEsUnaGaleria in Mexico City, Tequisquiapan, Leiden, Utrecht, Amsterdam and in the Cobra Museum in Amstelveen (2019 – 2020).
The NoEsUnaGalleria (ThisIsNotAGallery) collective is about giving back the freedom to the artists. To create art without limitation or restriction and making art without thinking too much about other people’s expectations. For the artists to focus on collaboration and teamwork to be able to create what they desire. To create concepts not because its suitable for others but to give space to search for your own style and to create the best image an artist can produce in relation with other global artists and the world we share together.
You can find Harmke most time of the year in the NoEsUnaGaleria studio in the Netherlands placed in an industrial harbor in Utrecht. Surrounded with other self-made art-studio’s and lively cultural underground events.
